Living in the Northern Virginia suburbs is a challenge. So many of us commute to jobs; work long hours; come home to a list of things that need immediate attention – let alone meals, home responsibilities and activities. Sound familiar?
Most of us want to feel like we have purpose and meaning. On better days, we really do want quality connection with others. We want to know people who know our names and with whom we can joke, laugh and share concerns. We want community.
Covenant Presbyterian Church is such a place. You will meet people like you who are real and who know that God loves each and every one of us. Explore our website to see how we try to live our mission of “being connected.” Better yet – visit us! We will welcome you at Covenant.

Do not let what you eat cause the ruin of one for whom Christ died. 16So do not let your good be spoken of as evil. 17For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18The one who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and has human approval. 19Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual edification. 20Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for you to make others fall by what you eat; 21it is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that makes your brother or sister stumble. 22The faith that you have, have as your own conviction before God. Blessed are those who have no reason to condemn themselves because of what they approve. 23But those who have doubts are condemned if they eat, because they do not act from faith; for whatever does not proceed from faith is sin. Over the past several months, Clayton and Knox have been hard at work building a new porch for Patty and Paul. Today we’re grateful to share that the project is finished — and even more grateful for the joy it has brought them. Patty told us, “It looks fabulous! We are very appreciative of your good work. I’ve already been shopping for it and plan to hang lights from it. Neighbors are coming by to say how nice it is.” What a gift to see how something simple, built with love, can bless a family and brighten a whole neighborhood. Thank you to everyone from Covenant who encouraged, supported, and helped make this spring project possible. Our hands-on work and your hearts made a difference. … See MoreSee Less
